Foodbank

Donations to the Flintshire Foodbank are always welcome; there is a collection box at the back of St Matthew’s and regular deliveries are made to the Foodbank centre in Buckley. There are also special appeals made at different times of the year such as at Harvest, Christmas and Easter.
You can find out what items are desperately needed by logging on to Flintshire Foodbank website, (flintshire.foodbank.org.uk) and these can include
- Any tins of food
- Packets of dried food
- Ready meals
- Toilet rolls
- Toiletries for Ladies and Men
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Nappies
- Cat and Dog food
- Sweet and savoury treats
- Washing up liquid and washing powders
Whatever we give, we are providing immediate, effective relief to those in our local community who have reached a crisis point in their lives and would otherwise go hungry or must make hard choices, for example between eating or heating. As a rule, three days’ worth of food is provided to help get through their difficulties.
It is hoped that we at St Matthew’s continue to be generous in our support for the Foodbank. The volunteers and those in need are always grateful for our donations.
